Japan man admits killing UK teacher, denies murder (AFP)

TOKYO (AFP) ? Japanese man Tatsuya Ichihashi on Monday admitted to killing British teacher Lindsay Ann Hawker in 2007 but pleaded not guilty to murder, saying he caused her death accidentally.

"I had no intention of murder, but I'm responsible for the death of Ms Lindsay," Ichihashi said in court, Jiji Press and other media reported. "I'm the one who scared her and left her dead. I'm really, really sorry."
