Victoria Beckham and high heels go together like peanut butter and jelly. So when recent reports suggested that the fashion designer's back injury might prevent her from wearing her trademark sky-high footwear, you may have been justifiably nervous.

Beckham and high heels have become synonymous. The former Posh Spice is known for wearing pricey, over-the-top heels in most every situation, even when pregnant. The 37-year-old mom of four famously wore towering heels to Prince William & Kate's wedding while seven months pregnant.
Do High Heels Cause Slipped Discs?
After a source close to Beckham recently suggested that the designer needed to lay off the heels due to a slipped disc in her back, fashionistas everywhere wondered: do high heels cause slipped discs?
No, says Dr. Neel Anand, of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. The slipped disc was most likely caused by typical wear-and-tear on the back, often made worse by pregnancy. Anand even suggested that women accustomed to wearing heels may feel better by continuing to wear them as their backs heal.
Ice, physical therapy, and over-the-counter pain meds can help the inflammation of a slipped disc improve. Soon, even sufferers less privileged than Beckham may feel well enough to slip back into their Louboutins.
Victoria Beckham: Standing Tall Again
This appears to be the case for Victoria Beckham, who was seen just days after the reports of her back woes wearing towering heels again. She had her hand on son Brooklyn's shoulder (perhaps for support?), and husband David Beckham, firmly grounded, carried their baby daughter Harper.
So while the fashion world can rejoice, we will all hope that the Spice Girl wears (shudder!) ballet flats when toting Harper Seven around home. Safety rules should apply even to fashionistas, you know.
