Crock Pot Meals For One Week ? 'Cause Baby It's Cold Outside!

If getting from your car to your door seems like a march through the tundra these winter days, you are part of a large group of us who are finding any excursion out of doors not merely difficult, but almost impossible. Any extra stop at the grocery store is so excruciating that driving through for fast food sounds like a good idea. But, the waste of money just defeats my budget, even though, the nice warm car is tempting. How can you feed your family a nice, hot meal without suffering those icy cold trips? By planning one shopping day with one goal in mind ? creating enough crock pot meals for at least one whole week. Let?s see what it takes to plan crock pot meals for the week.

You?ll want to gather up your favorite crock pot recipes, picking a variety of dishes so your family doesn?t tire of any one flavor. Make a grocery list that includes everything you need for the week being sure that you have enough of the pantry items, too. Carefully wrap and freeze the pork and chicken for the meals later in the week, chop up all your veggies for each meal and seal in containers. You are well on your way to a week of cozy meals without having to venture out in the cold. Here we go.

Sunday: There?s nothing better than the aroma of a Rotisserie Chicken. You don?t need to go to the deli for that crispy, juicy whole chicken anymore. Create the perfect Sunday dinner by serving your special mashed potatoes and buttery green beans to complete the meal.

Monday: Try an easy Crock Pot French Dip Roast served on nice hard rolls with melted mozzarella cheese. This is a sandwich but it sure tastes like a big meal.

Tuesday: Spice things up with Mexican Chicken. You can make this spicy or mild, depending on your own family?s taste. Serve over some good, brown rice for a filling meal.

Wednesday: Trying to stretch the food budget often involves eliminating meat from a meal or two. You won?t even miss the meat when you serve a rich and filling Minestrone Soup. If you prefer to use chicken broth instead of beef broth, the results are still so tasty that no one will complain that they miss the beef.

Thursday: Try a simple Crock Pot Turkey Breast dish that?s tangy and savory. With a little bit of cranberry sauce and onion to create a fancy and flavorful sauce, you?ll think you are dining at a five star restaurant.

Friday: There is always one day of the week that?s busier than most. You?ll be glad to have a refrigerator full of leftovers for that day. Arrange everything you have left over on the counter, place plates and bowls at the head, and have your family line up. It?s Smorgasbord time!

Saturday: It?s game time! We?re in front of the TV watching the game, so what better way to feed everyone than with Pulled Pork Sandwiches. All you need is some chips and pickles and you?ve got yourself a really satisfying family-style meal.

Sunday: Once again, we are taking time to spend a day at home, slow down the pace, and enjoy a nice, big meal together. The whole family enjoys a Tangy Chicken done Polynesian style. The little ones just love the pineapple and the adults enjoy the tanginess that comes from the soy sauce.

Wouldn?t it be nice to have a wonderful hot meal waiting for the family all week instead of braving the cold to stop at the grocery store every night in order to grab something for dinner? With a little planning and preparation, you and your family can come home to the pleasing aromas of a hot meal ready and waiting. Try coming home to a whole week of hot meals and you?ll never go back to your old, and cold, ways again.
